Video Doorbell standalone does not include a Sync Module 2. Without a Sync Module 2, live-view and two-way audio are only available in response to a doorbell press or motion event. Get these features on demand with a Blink Sync Module 2.
To save and share clips, choose from an optional Blink Subscription plan (sold separately) for cloud storage, or store locally a Blink Sync Module 2 and USB flash drive (each sold separately).
Video Doorbell is weather resistant with a seal that protects against water. We recommend mounting it to your home with the included back plate by following these instructions.
Batteries are required for Video Doorbell to function even when hard-wired. To install Blink Video Doorbell so it chimes through your existing doorbell wiring, 16 – 24 VCA is required.

Getting started is easy

Sign into or create an account in the Blink app.

Add your device(s) to your account and connect to Wi-Fi.
Step 3.
Choose to install wire free or wired to your existing home doorbell, and follow the instructions in the app to complete setup.

I like that this video doorbell is easy to set up. However, the instructions are not the best way of doing this. I kept have to check and recheck elsewhere the next step after initially setting up the sync module. There are some amazing videos on YouTube that make the whole setting up so much quicker and easier. I like that the camera. It is quite wide angled and the privacy of neighbours is easy to activate on the camera. Unfortunately while I was away I had a power cut. I could no longer view my camera, as it went down, and even when the power returned, it didn’t reactivate until I got home and turned the sync off and back on at the plug. Now working again and all good. One of those things I guess but great to know it is still working after the outage. Great price for a good little security gadget and better than my previous one.

Fairly pleased with this, the video quality isn’t bad, there is a bit of lag but nothing major.Annoyingly though, you cannot hear the doorbell inside the house, and need to purchase a separate camera – around £30 or chime – around £80 which I didn’t think was clear before purchasing. You can set Alexa to notify you, but even on the loudest setting we can’t hear this in most of the house.

Easy to install, picture quality is great.Batteries don’t last very long at all. There is a delay in notifications. I have tried to link the doorbell to my echo pop but to no avail.Setting up the privacy/excluded zones doesn’t seem to work……maybe that’s why my battery doesn’t last very long.I would suggest buying a wired adaptor to save money on batteries.
