It’s a good kettle, I had a cheaper plastic one in the past that broke so got this one to replace it. Below are a few point.Quality: it’s metal, nice and sturdy with a plastic handle, there is a button in the handle to open the lid.Heating: there are different option, what’s nice is the 90c for coffee so I’m not having to add cold water to make it drinkable, also means I don’t burn the coffee. The keep warm button is handy if I put one the kettle for a cuppa and but need to do something first.Smart system: not sure I’ll use this much but once the app is installed it’s handy to get the alert that the heating is finished.Wifi: it was easy to connect once the app was installed. I connected to Alex so I can now ask Alexa to turn on the kettle, while this is a cool feature not sure I’ll use it much, also you would need to be careful that you actually have water in as there is no water level sensor.Overall: over all I like it, good price, it’s light but sturdy. The temp control is very nice. Overall it does what’s expected but extra features if you need them.

There were difficulties with installation but it turned out that our adapter was behind the TV and that was bad. Then we put adapter on the floor and everything became fine.

I got this kettle to replace a multi-temperature Sage one that was showing its age and was starting to have problems getting power from the base. The WeeKett kettle works very well, is certainly quieter than the Sage kettle it replaced, plus the app gives some benefits.Being able to see the water temperature and set a target different to the button options on the base is great, especially as occasionally I do 85 degrees C. Being alerted that the kettle has finished its heat is also something I did not realise I would appreciate. So why have I marked it at 4 stars and would have done 3.5 it it was an option.First, the window on the side of the kettle starts too high. Really this should start below the minimum fill level, or at worse around 400ml, not the over 600ml that you actually need to fill the kettle with to see water in the window.Second, the window looks and feels cheap. Sure it is thick, but it is also clouded and looks like an afterthought.Third, the app will allow alerting, or no alerting. Not what causes the alerts. I raised a ticket with WeeKett over this and they did get back to me quickly. It is a limitation of the generic SmartLife app. While it works with the kettle it has some really basic limitations and while they have not written the app, it is the one they have chosen to work with and so get marked accordingly.Would I buy one again or recommend one to others. Actually yes, though I would hope for an version two with some minor improvements.

I had a competitor’s smart kettle previously but the firm went bust leaving the customers with no cloud based connection, rendering the appliance no better than a standard kettle. But WeeKett use the Smart Life app, which many big companies have signed up with, so this gives me more confidence that the service will last the lifetime of the kettle. The kettle is well made, and looks good on the kitchen counter. However, brushed stainless steel is prone to unsightly water marks, so keeping it looking good is a bit of a chore. I would have loved this kettle in a matt paint colour. My main niggle is the water level gauge. It is hard to read, especially so when condensation forms on it. I would also liked to have been able to have the ‘keep warm’ set for a higher temperature than 90 degrees, to keep the water ‘just off the boil’. But it’s still a good feature. The initial setup process was a bit of a challenge, it didn’t play well with my router, even though the instructions in the manual were good. I had to mess about for a few minutes to get it to connect. However once complete the kettle has had no problems connecting and responds instantly when turned on remotely. The app is reliable and once set up with Alexa or Google Home, I can get it boiling with a simple command and so far this hasn’t let me down. Finally, it heats quickly and the temperature seems accurate. The controls on the base are easy to use and it gives you a choice of temperatures.Although it’s an expensive purchase and there are a couple of (minor) complaints, I would still recommend this, and it seems for now one of the few Smart Kettles available in the UK right now.

Weekett wifi smart kettle
Wanted a kettle that Alexa could switch on & off, needed to pair with Tuya app for Alexa to work. Honestly this kettle was the best one out of a few that i looked at, its probably the dearest in price but its performance makes it worthwhile, its from the UK so had to use a power socket adapter. Was easy to connect to wifi in Tuya app, easy to use via mobile with adjustable temp settings, keep warm & timer settings. Theres only one downfall it sends notifications via the app every time kettle turns on & off and the only setting to stop this stops all notifications from app. But i can put up with that.So far im very impressed with this weekett wifi kettle.
