    Had been considering a robovac for a while and this is decent, makes me think should have got one sooner. Main problem when shopping for one was that the wife’s only requirement was that it had to mop, wasn’t too convinced by the models with water tanks built into the actually robovac. This one however wets the mops from the base station which I think is fantastic. It hoovers and mops at the same time which is cool saving time and every 10mins (time can be changed) returns to the base station to wet the mops again.Wake up every morning now to clean floors. It is a bit noisy but it is a vacuum and it recommended to set the suction to turbo (level 3 of 4) as we have pets, two labs specifically.Can get a bit clogged but it’s easy enough to empty the bin, even mid vacuum you can pause if your house is bogging. The idea is that this after few uses then keeps on top of it so no need to do that after first few.Instructions would be my one criticism, it has an quick setup but I had to find the manual online and it wasn’t so clear how to empty the bin and other maintenance bits at first, had to YouTube that part as manual has no pictures for that section.One question I couldn’t find and that I had to figure out myself is whether it would switch to the upstairs map automatically without having to open the app go to settings, maps, set as active map every time. Anyway turns out simply bringing the robovac upstairs (I choose to do so without the base station) and pressing the power button starts the vacuum upstairs and it figures out to use the upstairs map by itself, very useful!! And when done I take it downstairs place it at the bottom, press the home button on top again and it drives itself back to the base station, very happy about these features.Every time it vacuums and mops it also maps so any rooms you missed on initial mapping or had objects in the way it will not matter and will correct the map.It had no issues detecting stairs but I did add a virtual boundary in the app as per the recommendation.Oh and drying is done at room temperature to be eco friendly however this means by default it is set to 4 hours, the noise is noticeable but isn’t a problem for me anyway. The minimum I think you can set is 3 hours drying time.

    Eufy X8 continues to amaze me, it is fairly small but does so much work on one charge. We have got a fairly small three bed detached house and it just manages to do a complete clean on one charge. It remembers where to go and where it hasn’t been and cleans so effectively. It is quiet and as we have two dogs, I was anxious that it made a good job of getting up the dog hair off the carpets. No need to have worried, it gets it all up with no problem, better than Henry used to do and he was quite good.I regard this model as mid range but it is completely adequate, comes highly recommended and just wish, as others have said, that I had bought one a long time ago.Haven’t tried cleaning the tiles yet but don’t think it will disappoint.

    I bought this for the ground floor of my house, which is all laminate/hard-wood. It’s great on this, and cleans up the constant muddy dog prints well. The rotating mops are great for this, and although it doesn’t have an on-board water tank, the base-station cleaning the mop pads every 5-10 minutes is perfectly effective, and has the upside that i don’t need to clean the pads manually (much more hands-free).The downside comes on carpets – mechanically the machine is fine, but the lidar sensor is on the front of the robot, not the top. So if it senses and obstacle or issue, it tracks it position by doing a full 360 turn so the front sensor can get its bearings. Doing this on hard-wood is fine, the robot stays perfectly centered. On carpets… it tends to drift by 1/2/3 CM, which results in the robot not accurately knowing where it is. So it ends up spinning a lot. And the coverage isn’t great when this happens.When the robots goes in straight lines, it works fine. When i starts having issues in tight areas, it MASSIVELY slows down and the quality of the cleaning drops as well.

    Super smart and efficient
    This is my first robot vacuum, so I can’t compare it to other brands.It’s incredibly easy to use. It scans the apartment at the beginning and then starts vacuuming. It also mops, but I think it’s better at vacuuming than mopping. Maybe mopping is more advanced in other models, but it does a good job of mopping.The app is also great. It gives you a lot of control features. I like the manual control through the app, which is sometimes necessary for specific cleaning tasks.
